AiSDR Review

AiSDR review verdict: at $1.50 per person prospected, AiSDR is worth a controlled outbound pilot when you already know your buyer and offer. It can run research through booking, but a founder still needs to own targeting, message accuracy and the sales conversations. The rate comes from AiSDR's current pricing section, with optional services priced separately.

What AiSDR Is

AiSDR is software that does the repeatable work of a sales development representative, the person who finds potential customers and starts conversations before a sale. Its agent, Ami, helps choose prospects, researches them, writes outreach, sends email and LinkedIn sequences, handles replies and moves interested people toward a calendar booking. You supply the business context and operating boundaries; someone still takes the meeting, judges the opportunity and closes the deal. That division of work is how AiSDR describes its platform.

AiSDR: vendor product page; any displayed performance results are vendor claims

Verified against live vendor pages on 19 October 2026. This evaluation uses published capabilities, pricing and the campaign arithmetic below. It does not claim a hands-on campaign test or independently measured deliverability. The verdict turns on execution coverage, approval controls, usable prospect data and the total cost of a bounded campaign.

Who Should Buy AiSDR, and Who Should Skip It?

AiSDR fits a founder with a defined business customer, an offer that has already earned interest, and too little time to keep prospect research and follow-up moving. It also fits beside a salesperson who can handle valuable conversations but keeps losing hours to list preparation and inbox work.

A founder selling expense-management software, for example, might already know that companies hiring their first finance leader are promising accounts. AiSDR can turn that hypothesis into a campaign. It cannot establish that the new hire needs your product, has a budget or will choose you.

The alternatives below answer different buying decisions. Prices are from each vendor's live pricing page; the units are not equivalent packages of work.

Choose Apollo When You Still Need to Learn What Sells

Apollo is a sales platform with prospect data, AI research and writing, and sequences. It is the better starting point when the founder should personally work through objections and discover why buyers respond. Its Free plan limits you to 2 sequences; Basic removes that sequence limit. Those boundaries are documented on Apollo's pricing page.

Apollo

Skip AiSDR if every conversation is still changing your target buyer or pitch. You would be paying to automate a process you are still trying to understand. Apollo gives you tooling for that work, but the recommendation assumes you will operate it; it is not a promise that a lower subscription buys the same delegated service.

Choose Amplemarket When Reps Should Keep Running the Motion

Amplemarket combines multichannel sequences, buying signals and its Duo Copilot, an AI assistant for sales work. It belongs on the shortlist when your existing reps need better inputs and assistance rather than a broader handoff of outbound execution. Its plan comparison separates capabilities such as Duo Inbox, which drafts replies, so do not assume every feature is included with Startup.

Skip AiSDR as a replacement hire when the missing work is discovery, negotiation or account relationships. Keep a person responsible for those conversations. Amplemarket is an alternative for helping that person work, with an annual commitment that makes it a poor fit for a casual experiment.

Our best AI SDR tools comparison covers the wider shortlist. The distinction here is whether you want software to assist the person running outbound or to take over a larger share of its execution.

Research: Turn a Buyer Hypothesis Into a Contact List

AiSDR's useful prospecting capability is connecting a reason to contact someone with the research used in the message. Its prospecting page describes live searches of the public web, custom signals and research into company activity before outreach.

AiSDR: prospecting and signal research

For the expense-management founder, the workflow starts with a specific instruction: find companies hiring a finance leader where a new approval process would be relevant. That is an illustrative campaign brief, not a tested search. Review whether the returned companies fit your market before allowing job openings to become a reason to email them.

The documented data inputs include:

  • Public web information: company news, hiring activity, funding, leadership changes and technology signals.
  • LinkedIn context: profiles, posts and activity that can inform targeting or a message.
  • Your existing data: uploaded CSV lists and connected CRM records, where the CRM is your customer and sales database.
  • Contact enrichment: additional data used to fill missing contact or company details. AiSDR's pricing card describes waterfall enrichment, which checks multiple providers in succession.

The features page also describes turning company lists into contacts and enrolling leads when configured signals appear. AiSDR says Ami uses approved business data, your CRM and permitted external sources; its Ami page does not give you a blanket reason to assume every possible source is enabled for your account.

The founder's job is to separate observation from inference. A job posting is an observation. A need for your expense software is an inference. Reject messaging that turns the latter into a claim that you know the company's internal problems. Better research can save preparation time without making that inference true.

Writing: Approve the Sales Argument Before the Voice

AiSDR's Ami can use your website and business context to propose an audience, an angle, message copy and sequence steps. It also carries context such as tone preferences and campaign history into later work, according to the features documentation.

AiSDR: Ami campaign planning

For the same founder, the useful draft connects the finance hiring signal to a relevant question about expense approvals. An illustrative opening might ask whether the new finance team is reviewing how employee spending gets approved. It should not announce that the company has an inefficient process, invent a customer relationship or promise a saving your product cannot substantiate.

Review the argument in this order: is this the right person, is the cited event accurate, does the offer follow from it, and can you defend every product claim? Only then tune the wording to sound like you. A polished voice will not rescue a false premise.

AiSDR explicitly says the first campaign remains in draft until you review and approve it. It also describes controls over how much autonomy Ami receives. That is useful, but it is narrower than proof that every future message or campaign change must pass through a mandatory approval queue. The same Ami page advertises proactive changes within previously set boundaries.

For a founder, the payoff is a draft campaign that can be evaluated as a whole. The remaining work is editorial and commercial judgment, including removing an unsupported claim even when the rest of the email reads well.

Sending: Run the Sequence Without Losing the Boundaries

AiSDR coordinates email and LinkedIn actions in a sequence, the ordered set of outreach steps and follow-ups. Its features page describes scheduling, daily campaign caps, exclusions and stopping a sequence when someone replies.

AiSDR: sequences and sending controls

A workable founder campaign could begin with email and use LinkedIn where that channel makes sense for the buyer. The point is continuity: the next touch should follow the prospect's response, rather than send a generic nudge after a conversation has already started. The number of touches is a campaign decision, not evidence of a successful campaign.

AiSDR also describes lookalike mailboxes, warmup, sender rotation and domain-health monitoring on its sales-assistant page. These are useful operations to delegate. They do not prove that every email will reach an inbox or that sending infrastructure requires no oversight.

Before launch, approve which identity and domain represent your company, the send schedule and the exclusions. Existing customers, open opportunities and unsubscribed contacts should be on the suppression list, the list that prevents outreach to people who must be left alone. Someone should own the decision to pause if the wrong segment enters a campaign or prospects report misleading messages.

Phone support needs a precise reading. AiSDR describes preparing call scripts and using Aircall outcomes to drive follow-ups. Its public explanation keeps live conversations with a person. Do not buy it on the assumption that every mention of calls means an autonomous agent will conduct your sales calls.

Replies and Booking: Delegate Routine Threads, Own Exceptions

AiSDR goes beyond sending: its sales-assistant page describes answering questions, handling common objections, following up, pausing for out-of-office replies and booking meetings. It says questions outside the available context are flagged and handed to a person.

AiSDR: replies, booking and human conversations

For the expense-management founder, a routine request for an approved product overview could stay with the assistant. A request for a negotiated discount, a security commitment or a feature you have not released should go to the founder. Those are proposed boundaries to establish during setup, not a claim that the product already knows your company's rules.

The pricing page lists a co-pilot reply mode as well as automated handling. It also lists Calendly and HubSpot calendar integrations. Use the documented options to demonstrate the behavior you want before launch: a normal question, a rejection, an out-of-office response and an exception that requires a person.

A booking is an operational handoff, not a completed sale. The founder still needs enough context to understand why the person accepted, what was promised and what the next conversation should accomplish. If your calendar fills with people outside your market, faster reply handling has not solved the targeting problem.

What AiSDR Costs for a 500-Contact Campaign

AiSDR's self-serve pricing section lists $1.50 per person prospected, charged daily, with research, lists and writing costing nothing extra. It describes payment for people reached, so distinguish a billable campaign contact from a name you merely import or research. The section also says you can stop anytime. Source: AiSDR pricing.

AiSDR: current pricing section and optional extras

For 500 billable people prospected, 500 × $1.50 = $750 in campaign usage. This is calculated campaign cost, not a prediction of replies, meetings or revenue. Confirm how duplicate contacts and repeat campaigns are treated before using an imported list size as your bill estimate; the main pricing card does not resolve every billing edge case.

These are the add-ons exactly as the pricing section lists their names and prices:

Add-onListed priceWhat the section says it covers
Warmed-up mailbox$33Domain setup and mailbox warmup; the card does not state a billing cadence
Extra contacts (in AiSDR)In-appTop up AI-researched contacts without moving to another plan
Per-campaign managed service$149/campaignAn engineer builds, launches and improves a campaign; you approve before sending
Fully managed service$2,500/moAiSDR runs targeting, messaging, replies and reporting; you take meetings

All four entries come from the pricing page's add-ons section. Do not silently turn the mailbox price into a monthly fee, invent an extra-contact rate or treat the fully managed service as an inclusive quote for any outreach volume.

Adding the per-campaign service to the worked example makes $750 + $149 = $899, before any mailbox or other optional charges. That purchases campaign-building help. It does not transfer responsibility for approving your offer or attending the resulting calls.

Team plans are by quote. AiSDR positions them for teams contacting 1,000+ people a month and lists additional support and features, including a dedicated go-to-market engineer and Salesforce integration. The pricing section specifies monthly billing with quarterly contracts. For this founder's bounded campaign, self-serve is the clearer starting point; if Salesforce or hands-on support is essential, obtain the Team quote before budgeting from self-serve alone. What the Founder Still Reviews

The 500-contact campaign should have a named owner even when you buy managed help. For the expense-management example, the review work is concrete:

  1. Approve the audience and exclusions

Check whether the proposed companies and roles match the buyer you intended. Inspect the evidence behind the hiring signal. Exclude customers, active opportunities, competitors and people who have opted out before launch.

  2. Approve the offer and messages

Check the initial message, follow-ups and product context used for replies. Remove invented pain points, unsupported customer claims, unapproved discounts and promises that the sales call cannot honor.

  3. Set autonomy and handoff boundaries

Choose the reply mode and demonstrate an exception that reaches you. Establish who can approve new campaigns or material changes, which inboxes can send, and who receives a booked meeting.

  4. Review outcomes before expanding

Separate contacts reached, replies, bookings, held conversations and qualified opportunities. Read rejected and escalated threads as well as successful ones. Pause when poor targeting or inaccurate claims recur, even if activity looks healthy.

To judge the economics, divide actual campaign usage plus purchased extras plus the value of review time by held, qualified meetings. Use your observed result as the denominator. The purchase price alone cannot supply a cost per meeting, and a benchmark from another company's offer cannot supply yours.

The Limitations That Change the Purchase

AiSDR's limitations are most consequential where broad automation claims meet a specific operating requirement. These are reasons to narrow the deployment or choose another approach.

First-Campaign Approval Does Not Establish Approval for Every Change

AiSDR documents first-launch review, but its proactive Ami description also includes automated fixes and new plays under existing guardrails. If your founder or sales lead must approve every send or every targeting change, make that exact requirement part of the evaluation. A visible activity history is not the same control as a mandatory pre-send approval. Source: Ami controls and proactive mode.

HubSpot Sync Is Broader Than the Writing Inputs

AiSDR's HubSpot page says you can sync custom and standard properties, but a campaign can select no more than 3 properties for AI writing personalization. That is a concrete constraint if your message needs account tier, renewal timing, existing product, region and an owner note simultaneously. Prioritize the necessary fields or demonstrate a supported way to supply the context; do not assume that syncing it makes every field available to the writer.

Self-Serve Does Not Establish Access to Every Advertised Feature

AiSDR's main pricing card places Salesforce integration, website visitor tracking and specified LinkedIn signals under Team plans. General feature pages describe the wider platform. If one of those capabilities is central to your workflow, the Team quote is the relevant buying document. The entry rate alone does not establish your complete package. Source: AiSDR plan comparison.

A Signal Is Not Proof of Demand

AiSDR's public-web research gives you reasons to investigate a company. It does not establish its budget, purchase process or willingness to change. A founder with an unproven offer can spend the campaign allowance learning that a plausible audience does not care. That is why the first deployment should test a specific buyer and offer, with a person reading the responses.

Usage Charges Do Not Buy an Outcome

AiSDR charges for prospecting activity under the stated model, not for a guaranteed sale. This review has no independent campaign results from which to forecast your return. If losing the pilot budget would be unacceptable, or nobody has time to handle exceptions and meetings, do not buy it yet. Managed service reduces execution work; it does not remove those business constraints.

AiSDR Review Verdict: Buy Execution Capacity, Keep an Owner

AiSDR earns a pilot when you can state who should receive the outreach, what you can promise and who will handle a difficult reply. At the stated rate, the 500-contact example costs $750 in usage, with optional extras on top. That is a defensible experiment for a founder with a proven offer and time to review it; it is a poor purchase when the expectation is a salesperson who independently discovers the market and closes deals.

Use it beside a person when repetitive preparation and follow-up are the bottleneck. Use it instead of assigning a person those particular tasks only after the campaign shows acceptable targeting, factual messages and reliable handoffs. Keep a person responsible for the sales relationship in both cases.

The decision flips against AiSDR when you need constant pitch discovery, cannot demonstrate your required approval controls or need Team-only features without a suitable quote. Apollo is the more modest starting point for founder-operated learning; Amplemarket belongs on the shortlist for reps who want assisted execution.

The AI SDR vs human SDR playbook provides the broader staffing framework. Your next move is to write the audience, exclusions, approved claims and escalation rules before you authorize a live campaign. Expand only when your own held conversations justify the full operating cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I approve messages before they go out, or does the AI send automatically?

AiSDR explicitly documents approval before the first campaign launches and lists a co-pilot reply mode. Its proactive mode also describes acting within previously agreed guardrails. Demonstrate your required message-by-message or change-by-change approval process before enabling autonomy; the public description does not establish a universal mandatory approval queue.

Do I need a subscription to use AiSDR?

No. AiSDR offers self-serve pay-as-you-go usage. Team plans are by quote. The current main pricing section, rather than the conflicting FAQ minimums, is the basis for the costs in this review.

Can I have a free trial?

AiSDR says you can sign up without a credit card and build a campaign before the paywall appears at launch. Treat that as pre-purchase exploration, not evidence that sending a live campaign is free.

Does AiSDR replace my SDRs?

AiSDR describes taking over research, outreach and administrative work while people retain live conversations and closing. It can reduce the work assigned to a sales development representative, but that does not establish that your company can remove the role or its judgment.

Can I pause outbound?

Yes. AiSDR says outbound can be paused. That is useful when the target audience, offer or messages need revision. For a Team plan, check the contract separately; stopping outreach is not the same as establishing that all contractual charges stop.

Use the AI business workflow audit checklist to decide which sales tasks to delegate and which decisions need a person.
