Close CRM Pricing (2026): What 1 to 10 Reps Pay
Close CRM pricing for 1, 3, 5 and 10 reps, including annual billing, Call Assistant, phone lines, Chloe credits and usage charges.

Close CRM pricing starts at $19 per month for one user, or $9 with annual billing, but one Solo seat with optional Call Assistant and a starting-price rented phone line comes to about $70 monthly or $60 per month equivalent on annual seats, before usage. For multiple reps, Essentials starts at $49 per user monthly or $35 annually. Chloe is available on every plan; automated workflows start on Growth at $109 monthly or $99 annually per user.
Close is a customer relationship management system, or CRM, that keeps sales contacts, deals, email, calling and SMS together. For a founder or sales lead with 1 to 10 reps, the useful buying rule is simple: buy Essentials for a shared calling CRM, Growth when automated follow-up justifies its seat premium, and Scale when predictive dialing or access controls are requirements.
Verified against Close's live pricing page on 5 October 2026. The figures below use its published USD rates and our calculations. They are pricing analysis, with no signed-in product test or assumed call volume.

Close CRM Pricing: The Four Plans
Close charges per user, while calling, SMS and additional AI usage sit outside the seat subscription. The annual column is a per-month equivalent for an annual plan, rather than a month-to-month subscription.
Source: Close's pricing page, verified October 2026. Call Assistant, number rental, usage and extra organizations are separate charges.
Solo is the founder plan, with a hard one-user ceiling. Its 10,000-lead limit is a second reason to move up. A lead is the company or prospect record your contacts sit under. A founder who handles sales alone can use the built-in communications without paying for a team tier. A founder adding another seller needs Essentials or above; multiplying Solo's price by headcount does not create a valid team subscription.
Essentials is the default for a small team that manages follow-up manually. It supplies unlimited contacts and leads, team collaboration, built-in forms, email, calling and SMS, plus a shared place for messages and tasks. Its wall is workflows. A three-rep services firm that already assigns leads and follows up reliably can stay here rather than pay for automation it will not maintain.
Growth earns its premium when the CRM must execute the follow-up. Workflows are rules that trigger actions when a lead meets a condition, such as sending an email, assigning a task or starting outreach. Growth also includes a power dialer, which calls through a contact list automatically. For a sales lead managing several reps, the upgrade is a decision about repeated work and queue discipline.
Scale is a control and dialing purchase. Its predictive dialer calls multiple numbers and connects answered calls to reps. Custom permissions, lead visibility rules and live call coaching matter when sellers need different access or a manager must join live conversations. A ten-rep headcount alone is not a reason to buy it.
What Goes on Top of the Seat Price?
Call Assistant adds $50 per organization per month, plus $0.02 per minute, on any plan. It records, transcribes and summarizes calls synced to Close. That fixed fee applies to the organization, so it is shared across your reps. Close add-ons and usage.
A five-rep company therefore adds $50, rather than a separate $50 charge for every rep. Allocated across five sellers, the fixed portion is $10 per rep; across ten, it is $5. The per-minute portion still grows with actual use.
Phone number rental is another line item. Close says numbers start at about $1 per month and most outbound calls cost around $0.02 per minute. Calling and SMS are passed through at cost. Those are starting and approximate rates, not a promise that every destination or number type costs the same.
Use this budget formula: seat subscriptions + $50 for Call Assistant in the operating organization + actual number rentals + Call Assistant minutes × $0.02 + actual calling/SMS charges + extra AI credits + any paid extra organizations.
Close's usage guide confirms that call rates vary by country and number type. Use billed minutes and your selected numbers to replace the estimates. Taxes, if applicable, also belong in the final budget.

Calling and Call Assistant Have Separate Minute Charges
An outbound minute can incur both telephony and Call Assistant usage. Where the outbound rate is around $0.02 and that same minute is processed by Call Assistant at $0.02, their combined marginal cost is about $0.04. That is our addition of two advertised rates, not an all-inclusive Close tariff.
For your bill, let M be the actual billed outbound minutes and A the actual Call Assistant minutes. The approximate outbound component is $0.02 × M; the Assistant component is $0.02 × A. Keep the counts separate because they need not match. Add other calling charges, SMS and AI credit purchases as incurred.
The pricing page does not state a permanent included outbound-minute allowance. Built-in calling describes where your reps make calls; it does not make the carrier usage free. A founder moving from another phone system should replace the old bill with these actual charges before deciding the new stack is cheaper.
Extra Organizations Add Another Fixed Fee
Close charges $50 per additional organization per month. Growth and Scale include one free secondary organization. An organization is a separate CRM workspace, not another rep seat. Close organization pricing.
A company with one sales operation does not need to add this fee to the examples below. If it needs two secondary workspaces, the additional-organization charge is $100 monthly on Solo or Essentials, versus $50 on Growth or Scale because one secondary organization is included. That comparison prices only the extra-organization fee. It does not assume Call Assistant, seats or usage in another workspace are included.
Monthly Bills for 1, 3, 5 and 10 Reps
With Call Assistant enabled in one operating organization and one starting-price rented number per rep, the fixed estimate is headcount × seat price + $50 + about $1 × headcount. Every amount below is before calling, SMS, Call Assistant minutes, additional AI credits and applicable taxes. A more expensive phone number raises the estimate.
The annual figures are monthly budget equivalents: only the seats use the advertised annual rate. The Call Assistant fee and number estimate retain their stated monthly prices. This does not mean an annual seat subscription is invoiced month by month. Published inputs.
1 Rep: About $70 Monthly on Solo, or $60 with Annual Seats
For a founder selling alone, the shared add-on and one line add about $51 to the seat price:
- Solo: $19 + $50 + about $1 = about $70/month; annual seats give about $60/month equivalent, with $108 in annual seat subscription cost.
- Essentials: about $100/month with monthly seats, or $86/month equivalent with annual seats; annual seat cost $420.
- Growth: about $160/month with monthly seats, or $150/month equivalent with annual seats; annual seat cost $1,188.
- Scale: about $200/month with monthly seats, or $190/month equivalent with annual seats; annual seat cost $1,668.
Solo is the price to evaluate while you stay within its user and lead limits. The Call Assistant fixed fee is larger than the Solo seat fee, so leave that optional add-on out of your own budget if call transcription and summaries are not a requirement.
3 Reps: About $200 Monthly on Essentials, or $158 with Annual Seats
A founder and two sellers need a team plan. Call Assistant and three starting-price lines add about $53:
- Essentials: about $200/month with monthly seats, or $158/month equivalent with annual seats; annual seat cost $1,260.
- Growth: about $380/month with monthly seats, or $350/month equivalent with annual seats; annual seat cost $3,564.
- Scale: about $500/month with monthly seats, or $470/month equivalent with annual seats; annual seat cost $5,004.
Growth adds $180 per month on monthly billing, or $192 on an annual-plan monthly equivalent, versus Essentials. That is the amount your automated follow-up needs to justify before counting any change in usage.
5 Reps: About $300 Monthly on Essentials, or $230 with Annual Seats
Five Essentials seats cost $245 monthly. Adding $50 for Call Assistant and about $5 for lines produces the $300 fixed estimate. On annual seats, $175 + $50 + about $5 produces the $230 monthly equivalent:
- Essentials: about $300/month with monthly seats, or $230/month equivalent with annual seats; annual seat cost $2,100.
- Growth: about $600/month with monthly seats, or $550/month equivalent with annual seats; annual seat cost $5,940.
- Scale: about $800/month with monthly seats, or $750/month equivalent with annual seats; annual seat cost $8,340.
For a five-rep B2B sales team, the workflow decision adds $300 monthly or $320 on the annual-plan equivalent. The shared Call Assistant fee does not create that difference; the seat upgrade does.
10 Reps: About $550 Monthly on Essentials, or $410 with Annual Seats
Ten starting-price lines and the shared Assistant fee add about $60. Solo is unavailable at this headcount, and these calculations use the published seat rates without an assumed volume discount:
- Essentials: about $550/month with monthly seats, or $410/month equivalent with annual seats; annual seat cost $4,200.
- Growth: about $1,150/month with monthly seats, or $1,050/month equivalent with annual seats; annual seat cost $11,880.
- Scale: about $1,550/month with monthly seats, or $1,450/month equivalent with annual seats; annual seat cost $16,680.
At ten reps, Growth adds $600 monthly or $640 on the annual-plan equivalent over Essentials. Scale then adds another $400 per month under either billing cycle. Buy those capabilities against a named operational requirement, rather than treating team size as an automatic upgrade trigger.
Which Plan Includes Chloe and the AI Features?
Every Close plan includes Chloe, its built-in AI sales agent. Growth is the first plan that includes automated workflows and Chloe inside those workflows. The current pricing matrix makes those separate purchase decisions.
Chloe can automatically call and qualify prospects, book meetings, update CRM records, enrich lead data and answer pipeline questions. The matrix includes batch calling, enrichment and Chloe chat, labeled beta, across all four tiers. A founder can therefore evaluate Chloe access on Solo; a small shared sales operation can do it on Essentials.
Growth and Scale add the automation layer: Chloe in workflows, automatic updates, lead summaries, suggested actions and AI email rewriting. Scale adds the ability to restrict access to Chloe's agents, prompts and settings. Do not pay Growth's premium solely because someone advertises Close's AI features. Pay it when the specific feature you need sits in that tier.

Included Credits Are a Monthly Budget, Not Unlimited AI
Solo includes 500 AI credits per month. Essentials provides 1,000 per user, pooled up to 10,000 monthly; Growth provides 1,500 per user, pooled up to 15,000; Scale provides 2,000 per user, pooled up to 20,000. These credits refresh monthly and do not roll over. Additional credits are available. Close AI credit allowances.
Chloe access being included does not make every action free. Close says Chloe uses AI credits plus telephony. The pricing page does not give a universal cash rate for every extra credit or a reliable conversion from the pool into a number of completed sales calls. The worked bills therefore leave additional AI spend variable.
For a sales lead, the decision is whether the included pool covers the work you intend to run. Unused credits expiring each month are not a reason to run outreach that has no clear sales purpose.
Other Limits Can Decide the Tier
Call recordings remain available for 30 days on Solo and Essentials, 90 days on Growth, and indefinitely on Scale. Solo and Essentials allow three connected email accounts, versus ten on Growth and Scale. These limits matter if a manager needs an older conversation or a seller works across several inboxes. Close feature limits.
Each plan lists 250 custom fields. Growth and Scale list 250 custom activity templates and 50,000 custom activity instances per month. A custom field stores a piece of business data; a custom activity records a repeatable event in your sales process. A straightforward prospect-to-deal operation should choose its automation and calling requirements first, then check these limits against the actual records it needs.
Annual vs Monthly: When the Lower Seat Rate Pays Back
Annual billing saves money when the seats stay useful through the commitment. It also reduces your ability to shrink the subscription immediately: Close says annual downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the billing term. Monthly subscriptions can be changed or canceled anytime. Close billing terms.
For five Essentials seats, annual subscriptions cost $2,100, versus $2,940 if the same five seats are paid monthly for a full year. The calculated seat saving is $840. Call Assistant, lines and usage still need their own budgets; the seat-rate difference does not erase them.
A second way to compare is the first whole month at which monthly seat payments exceed the annual seat commitment. At unchanged headcount, that is month six for Solo, nine for Essentials, eleven for Growth and twelve for Scale. This is seat-only arithmetic, without assuming a refund or different usage between billing cycles.
A founder with uncertain hiring or an unproven sales process should give the monthly rate serious weight. You are paying for the option to reduce seats or leave sooner. Once the headcount and workflow are stable, the published annual rate becomes easier to justify.
Close vs Pipedrive and HubSpot: Entry Costs
Pipedrive and HubSpot can start below Close's team price. The comparison below uses only their own live pricing pages, checked on 5 October 2026, and keeps seat entry prices separate from a fully specified calling setup.
Pipedrive: $14 per Seat on Annual Billing
Pipedrive is a sales CRM built around managing leads and deals. Lite is US$14 per seat per month billed annually, or US$168 per seat per year. Five Lite seats therefore cost $70 per month equivalent or $840 per year, versus Close Essentials' $175 per month equivalent or $2,100 per year for seats alone.

The seat difference is $105 per month at five reps, but those entry subscriptions should not be treated as identical communication bundles. Pipedrive Lite lists lead, calendar and pipeline management and meeting intelligence. Its Growth plan adds full email sync and automation. A founder whose immediate need is a deal board has a cheaper entry route; a sales lead replacing a phone-centered workflow needs to price the actual communication setup before choosing on the $14 headline.
HubSpot: Free for Two Users, Starter Currently Advertised from $7
HubSpot is a customer platform with sales tools and a free CRM entry point. Its sales pricing page lists $0 for up to two users. Starter currently displays a starting price of $7 per seat per month, alongside a $20 per-seat figure.

Five seats at the advertised $7 starting rate would be $35 per month for seats alone. Treat that as today's advertised entry floor, rather than a verified renewal quote or an unconditional annual rate. Confirm the billing period, eligibility and renewal price before building your budget around it.
HubSpot's Starter matrix lists calling with 500 minutes and one provided phone number, with country availability limits. That describes a different package from the Close scenarios, which budget a rented line per rep and usage separately. A founder and one colleague who need basic shared records can stay within HubSpot's free user limit. A three-to-ten-rep calling operation needs to establish its actual phone-number and calling requirements before the entry figure becomes useful.

Close CRM Reviews: When the Bill Is Worth Paying
Close earns its premium when reps work a shared prospect queue and calling belongs inside the sales record. Essentials is the starting recommendation for that job. Growth needs a stronger case: the upgrade is $60 more per user monthly, or $64 more per user on annual-plan equivalents. Close tier prices.
For a five-rep sales operation, write down what would justify the $300 monthly or $320 annual-equivalent increase. Use your own cost per working hour or contribution margin per won customer. Divide the upgrade cost by that hourly value, or compare it with the contribution from additional wins. The result is your break-even requirement, not a promised productivity gain.
Scale adds $40 per user per month over Growth under either billing cycle. At five reps, the $200 premium should buy a requirement such as predictive dialing, lead access rules or live coaching. If those are absent, stay on Growth.
- Calling, email and SMS live alongside contacts and deals.
- Essentials supports a shared team without forcing a workflow subscription.
- Chloe access exists on every tier, so AI access alone does not force Growth.
- Call Assistant's fixed fee is shared at the organization level.
- Built-in calling still produces a usage bill.
- Solo stops at one user and 10,000 leads.
- Workflows require a substantial per-seat jump from Essentials.
- AI credits expire monthly, while annual seat cancellation waits until the term ends.
Close CRM API: Access Is Included
Close lists API access and its event log on every plan. An API is a connection another system uses to read or change data; Close supports API-key or OAuth authentication. That access alone is not a reason to buy Growth. The pricing page is not a promise of unlimited requests or free implementation, so price any integration work separately.
Close CRM Integrations: Include Outside Subscriptions in the Budget
Close's integration rows are included across the four tiers. That answers the plan-access question, but does not price any outside application your company connects. For a founder consolidating software, list the subscriptions that will remain after the move and add them to the comparison. A lower CRM price does not save money if the rest of the workflow becomes more expensive.
Close CRM App: The Mobile App Is Included
Close includes its iOS and Android app across all plans. It supports managing the CRM, calls, texts and reports on the go. A rep working away from a desk does not need a higher tier simply to get that app; calling, SMS and the other usage charges still apply. Close's access and app matrix.
Before You Subscribe: The AI Business Workflow Audit Checklist
Start with the smallest tier that completes the work your reps must do. This checklist turns the pricing comparison into a budget a founder can approve.
Count the people and requirements
Count every person who needs a seat, including the founder if they use the CRM. Record whether the operation needs manual calling, workflow automation, predictive dialing or restricted lead access. Match those requirements to the plan before multiplying the price.
Add the shared and usage charges
Decide whether Call Assistant is required. Select a real number type for each rep and use its actual rental rate. Add actual calling, SMS, Assistant minutes, additional AI credit spend and any secondary organizations. Close shows the usage balance under Billing, then Usage.
Write the upgrade's break-even requirement
For Growth or Scale, compare the extra seat spend with your own labor cost or customer contribution. Name the specific repeated task or control requirement that justifies the premium. Leave assumed conversion gains out of the budget.
Choose the commitment after the workflow is clear
Compare the annual seat total with monthly flexibility. Check cancellation timing, the money-back guarantee and the final invoice terms before committing. Keep the fixed budget and usage budget visible to whoever owns sales spending.
Close Pricing FAQ
Does Close CRM have a free plan?
Close's current pricing page does not list a permanent free plan. It offers a 14-day trial without a credit card, including $5 of calling and enrichment credit. Nobody can keep an ongoing Close subscription free under the published plans. If a founder and one colleague only need basic shared CRM records, HubSpot's free tools are the free option in this comparison.
How much does Close CRM cost per user?
Solo is $19 monthly or $9 on annual billing; Essentials is $49 or $35; Growth is $109 or $99; Scale is $149 or $139. All are per user per month, and Solo is restricted to one user. Usage and optional add-ons sit outside those seat prices.
What is Chloe, and which plans include it?
Chloe is Close's built-in AI sales agent, with access on all four plans and included monthly AI credits. Growth and Scale add automated workflows and Chloe inside workflows. Call Assistant is a separate paid add-on for recording, transcription and summaries.
How much do calling and SMS cost?
Close passes calling and SMS through at cost. Most outbound calls are around $0.02 per minute, while phone numbers start at about $1 per month. Call Assistant adds its own $50 organization fee and $0.02 per minute. The rates are not a fixed all-inclusive quote for every number or destination.
Do I need to buy extra AI credits?
Only if your intended AI work needs more than the included monthly pool. Credits do not roll over, and additional credits are available. Close's pricing page does not establish a universal price per completed AI sales call, so do not turn the credit allowance into an invented calling capacity.
Can I cancel Close or get a refund?
The pricing page advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee after purchase. Monthly plans can be upgraded, downgraded or canceled anytime. Annual downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the billing term. Confirm the purchase's refund terms rather than treating annual cancellation as an immediate refund promise.
Does Close offer a student discount?
The live pricing page checked for this article does not advertise a public student discount. Budget the published plan price unless Close confirms a specific offer for your purchase.
How much does a CRM program cost?
For these published entry plans, Close Solo starts at $9 per month on annual seats, Pipedrive Lite at US$14 per seat on annual billing, and HubSpot has a $0 option for two users. A team needing calling should compare the complete phone setup and the workflow tier, rather than treating those starting prices as a universal CRM budget.
Is Close.io a CRM?
Yes. Close.io refers to Close, a sales CRM with contact and deal management plus built-in email, calling and SMS. Its current pricing tiers are Solo, Essentials, Growth and Scale.
What is a CRM with examples?
A CRM keeps prospect and customer records, sales conversations and next actions in one place. Close, Pipedrive and HubSpot are examples. For a founder, the useful distinction is whether the chosen plan completes the work the sellers do, including calling and follow-up.
Who is the no. 1 CRM provider?
There is no universal first choice for this buying decision. For a small calling-led sales operation, evaluate Close Essentials first; for a cheaper visual pipeline, evaluate Pipedrive Lite; for basic records shared by two users, evaluate HubSpot's free tools. These are fit recommendations, not a market-share ranking.
What are the top 3 CRM systems?
The three candidates for this price comparison are Close, Pipedrive and HubSpot. Choose between them using the plan that covers your actual communication workflow, the fixed seat cost and the additional phone and usage charges.
