Wispr Flow Pricing (2026): Free Caps and Team Costs
Wispr Flow costs for 1, 5 and 20 people, monthly vs annual billing, free word limits, education discounts and cheaper dictation alternatives.

Wispr Flow pricing starts at $0 for Free. Pro costs $15 per user per month, or $144 per user per year with annual billing; it is the usual upgrade when you hit the free allowance of 2,000 desktop words or 1,000 mobile words a week. Growth starts at $23 per user per month, or $216 per year, when a team needs additional administration and security controls.
Wispr Flow is a voice dictation app that puts spoken writing into the apps you use. Prices and allowances verified against Wispr Flow's live pricing page on October 1, 2026. The calculations below use USD website list rates before tax and discounts.
Wispr Flow Pricing: Yearly Cost for 1, 5 and 20 People
One person pays $144 a year for annual Pro; five pay $720; twenty pay $2,880. Paying monthly costs more over a full year, but lets you stop paying sooner if the habit does not stick.
The table shows a full year's subscription cost. “Paid yearly” is an annual commitment, with the displayed monthly rate multiplied by twelve. “Paid monthly” assumes twelve monthly payments at the current rate. Growth's higher-priced option includes unlimited Notetaker, the meeting-recording and notes product.
Source prices: Wispr Flow pricing and Growth purchase options. Totals are calculated here, rather than vendor quotes. The Free row means separate individual accounts, each with its own cap, rather than a managed paid team.
* Single-seat Growth totals are conditional: the current signup guide permits one seat in the add-billing-information flow, but specifies a five-seat minimum in another checkout path. Pro's pricing-page FAQ explicitly says no minimum seat requirement. Do not treat that Pro promise as a guarantee for every Growth checkout. Seat-count rules.

Is Wispr Flow Free, and Is the Weekly Cap Enough?
Free is enough when the words you actually dictate stay below 2,000 a week on desktop and 1,000 on mobile. Mac and Windows are desktop platforms; iOS and Android are mobile. Keep those allowances separate when budgeting, rather than assuming one flexible pool. Published allowances.
Across an illustrative five-workday week, that is 400 desktop words or 200 mobile words a day. The desktop allowance resets on Sunday at midnight Pacific Time, according to the plan documentation. A busy Tuesday can therefore use most of the week's budget.
Estimate a Week Across Email, Slack and Documents
Use 4,000 dictated words a week as a planning example for someone who uses voice across ordinary office writing, not as a measured population average. There is no verified “typical person” usage figure in the sources used here. These three estimates make the assumptions visible:
- Light use, estimated 900 words/week: five emails at 60 words each, twenty Slack messages at 15 words each, and 300 words of document notes. This fits the desktop allowance, and fits the mobile allowance if the whole workload happens there.
- Regular mixed writing, estimated 4,000 words/week: twenty-five emails at 80 words each, fifty Slack messages at 20 words each, and 1,000 words of documents. That is twice the advertised desktop allowance if all of it is dictated there.
- Writing-heavy use, estimated 10,000 words/week: fifty emails at 100 words each, one hundred Slack messages at 25 words each, and 2,500 document words. Free is a poor fit for dictating that entire workload on either platform.

Count dictated text, rather than every message you receive or every word you type. If you dictate only a quarter of the 4,000-word example, your usage is 1,000 words. At half, it is 2,000. You can have a busy writing job and still never need to pay if voice is reserved for occasional replies or notes.
Stay on Free when that occasional use is the habit you want. One unusually long document is weak evidence for an annual subscription; a recurring cap in normal weeks is much stronger.
Wispr Flow Pro Pricing: Monthly or Annual?
Pro is $15 a month with monthly billing, or $144 for a year, equivalent to $12 a month. Annual billing saves $36 per person, or 20%, against twelve monthly payments. At twenty people, the saving is $720 a year. Pro list prices.
The annual option becomes cheaper than uninterrupted monthly Pro during the tenth month: $144 divided by $15 is 9.6 monthly payments. If you only need it for a three-month project, monthly Pro costs $45, while the annual commitment costs $144. The lower displayed monthly equivalent does not make annual billing cheaper for short use.
At the estimated 4,000 words a week, sustained for an assumed 52 weeks, annual Pro costs approximately $0.69 per 1,000 dictated words: $144 divided by 208,000 words, multiplied by 1,000. This is usage-normalized subscription math, not a per-word tariff or a measured result.
The practical question is how much useful work survives correction. At an assumed value of $60 per hour, twelve minutes saved a month offsets the $12 annual equivalent; fifteen minutes offsets monthly Pro's $15. Those are break-even targets, not demonstrated savings, and time recovered does not automatically reduce payroll. The Wispr Flow review covers product behavior and the limits of reported speed claims.
When Does a Team Need Growth or Enterprise?
A team can stay on Pro when it needs unlimited dictation, shared terminology and one bill. Pro already includes shared dictionary and snippets, centralized billing, user management and basic usage dashboards. A five-person agency does not need Growth simply because it has five people. Team features by plan.
Buy Growth for Enforced Policies
Growth adds SSO/SAML, organization-wide HIPAA enforcement with a signed BAA, team model-training controls, individual usage reporting, and member, department and billing administration. Single sign-on, or SSO, lets people use the company's identity system; SAML is the protocol connecting it. A BAA is a Business Associate Agreement for handling protected health information. Growth features.
On annual billing, Growth Dictation only is $72 more per seat per year than Pro. That is $360 extra for five people or $1,440 extra for twenty. For an organization that requires centralized sign-in or enforced health-data handling, that premium buys a required control. For a small firm that only wants staff to dictate emails, it buys capabilities the firm may not use.

Check the Notetaker Option Before Paying
Growth's $23 monthly or $18 annual-equivalent rate is Dictation only. The option with unlimited Notetaker costs $33 monthly or $26 per month billed annually, totaling $312 per seat per year. At twenty annual seats, that adds $1,920 a year over Dictation only. Current bundle rates.
The pricing page also advertises temporary full Notetaker access through October 31, followed by limited access without an automatic price increase. Treat that as a temporary offer, rather than permanent unlimited meeting access at the lower price. Dictating a document and recording a meeting are different uses; budget for the one you need. Offer terms.
Enterprise Is a Quote, With an Annual Commitment
Enterprise adds requirements such as SCIM user provisioning, which automatically manages employee accounts, audit logs, managed device deployment, free IT admin seats, and custom contract and invoice terms. Its published price is custom, and new contracts are annual only. An older monthly contract can be grandfathered; it is not the purchase option for a new customer. Pricing and contract details.
There is no defensible public total for one, five or twenty Enterprise seats. Get a quote defining the product bundle, billable seats and renewal terms instead of multiplying Growth's rate and calling it Enterprise.
Wispr Flow Student Discount and Nonprofit Pricing
Students and educators get 50% off Pro under the published education offer. That makes paid Pro $7.50 on monthly billing, or $72 a year, equivalent to $6 a month, on annual billing. Wispr also offers nonprofit discounts but publishes no standard nonprofit percentage on its pricing page. Discount offer and paid student rates.
Check eligibility before paying. Current support documentation also describes an annual $0 Student plan for selected accounts, claimed on desktop when the free offer appears. An educational email does not guarantee that offer. The individual student discount excludes team subscriptions, so you should not halve a five-seat team bill because its members are students. Eligibility and exclusions.
For educator or nonprofit verification, open Wispr's web support, choose Billing and the appropriate Discount Request category, then submit the requested proof. Check the offer on the correct account and billing provider before buying.
Wispr Flow Promo Code: Check Eligibility, Not Coupon Promises
Enter a supplied code in desktop Settings > Plans and Billing. Codes can fail because an offer ended, an account already has a subscription, or a team or student plan is ineligible. There is no verified universal coupon supplied here. Use an approved education or nonprofit offer when applicable. Code rules.
Which Wispr Flow Alternative Is Cheaper?
Superwhisper is materially cheaper for a personal paid subscription. VoiceOS is nearly equal on annual billing and costs more monthly. Compare matching billing terms and the workflow you need; a cheaper personal license is not automatically a substitute for team policy controls.
Superwhisper: Lower Personal Prices, Including a Lifetime Option
Superwhisper is a dictation app with local speech models and configurable AI processing. Its website Pro rates are $8.49 a month, $84.99 a year, or $249.99 once for a lifetime license. Annual Pro is about $7.08 a month, saving $59.01 a year against Wispr Pro's $144. Monthly Pro saves $6.51 a month against Wispr's $15. Published plans.

Five personal annual licenses cost $424.95, versus $720 for five Wispr Pro seats; twenty cost $1,699.80, versus $2,880. Those are license-cost comparisons. Superwhisper directs company buyers to separate seat-based Enterprise licensing for SSO and centralized deployment. One person's license covers that person's devices, not an entire company's users. Mobile-store prices also differ from the website rates used here. Licensing and purchase channels.
Lifetime costs about 2.94 years of annual Superwhisper at unchanged list prices: three annual payments would be $254.97. That makes it a longer-term bet rather than the cheapest way to try the app. Choose monthly or annual first when your future use is uncertain. The Superwhisper vs Wispr Flow comparison covers processing and workflow tradeoffs beyond subscription costs.
A Wispr Flow Free Alternative: Superwhisper's Local Tier
Superwhisper Free gives unlimited local Whisper dictation, custom vocabulary, text replacements and up to two modes without AI processing. Pro adds cloud models, AI-powered modes and file transcription. Free versus Pro.
It fits when the main problem is Wispr's word budget and you can work with local transcription without paid AI processing. It is a less direct replacement if you depend on the paid cleanup and contextual modes. Evaluate that boundary before assuming two products' Free plans perform the same job.
VoiceOS: A Fit for Voice Actions, Little Annual Price Saving
VoiceOS is a Mac and Windows voice tool combining Dictation Mode with Agent Mode. Disclosure: VoiceOS is a bank partner. It belongs in this shortlist when you want that combination, rather than because it substantially undercuts Wispr.
VoiceOS publishes $11.99 a month billed annually, or $143.88 a year. Its pricing page's USD monthly offer is $29.99 a month. Annual billing saves only $0.12 per person per year against Wispr Pro; even at twenty people the difference is $2.40. Monthly VoiceOS costs $14.99 more than monthly Wispr Pro. VoiceOS pricing.

VoiceOS lists mobile as coming soon and Enterprise as custom-priced. Its limited Free tier is not a new-signup option: the page says it applies after Pro access ends following cancellation. That makes it a poor recommendation for someone seeking a free replacement they can start using immediately. Choose it for the voice-action workflow if that fits; choose Superwhisper when lower personal subscription cost is the priority. Plan boundaries.
Billing Details That Change the Final Cost
The annual rate is a commitment, and cancellation does not automatically refund the unused months. Wispr's billing documentation says cancellation stops the next renewal, paid access continues to the period end, and there is no automatic prorated refund. Ask support about a refund request; Apple handles App Store refunds. Cancellation and refunds.
For desktop or web Pro, open Settings > Plans and Billing > Manage subscription. Team admins manage billing in the admin portal. App Store and Google Play subscriptions must be managed through their respective stores. Confirm the cancellation and displayed end date in the billing provider, especially if another device still shows a stale plan label.
For Growth, review billable members and pending billable invitations, not only the people actively dictating. The current signup guide includes pending billable invitations in the add-billing quote and describes different one-seat and five-seat checkout minima. For eligible company domains, auto-add is on by default; clear it if you want manual control over who joins and uses a seat. Growth seat and signup rules.
The team table assumes a fixed headcount for a full year. Real invoices can include prorated new-seat charges, listed separately in Upcoming charges. Check the seat count, first charge and billing term before completing a trial's Add billing info flow; documentation describes an annual-billing path there. Team billing details.
Wispr Flow API Pricing and Word Overages
The public pricing page publishes app subscriptions, rather than a separate API tariff, per-word overage fee or credit-pack price. Do not read the $0.69-per-1,000 calculation above as a purchase rate for API calls.
When a recurring weekly allowance interrupts your writing, budget for Pro or wait for the reset. There is no published “buy another thousand words” option on that page to use in a cost estimate.
Is Wispr Flow Worth It? Choose the Plan by the Constraint
Buy Pro for recurring word-limit interruptions; buy Growth for required organization controls. If Free covers your normal dictated workload, staying there is the right result. If voice does not make composing and correcting text easier, more words will not make the subscription useful.
Measure a normal workweek
Track the words you actually dictate across email, Slack and documents, keeping desktop and mobile use separate. Mark whether an interruption is a recurring pattern or an exceptional long draft.
Choose a commitment you can defend
Use monthly Pro while the habit is uncertain. Annual Pro becomes cheaper after about ten months of continuous use; do not buy a year solely for its lower displayed monthly equivalent.
Price the team requirement
Use Pro for shared terminology and billing. List the SSO, HIPAA or reporting requirements that justify Growth, select the Notetaker option deliberately, and check seats in the payment summary. Ask sales for Enterprise when custom terms or its advanced controls are necessary.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Wispr Flow worth the money?
Pro is a reasonable purchase when the free cap repeatedly interrupts useful dictation and correction still leaves a benefit. Monthly costs $15; annual costs $144. Growth's premium should correspond to required team controls.
